CHICAGO --- A pair of top two finishes among her three events over the weekend has earned Olivet Nazarene University's Lea Bock (SO/Salem, Ohio) Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week honors for the seven-day period ending March 26, it was announced by the league office on Wednesday.
Bock placed first among collegiate participants and second overall in the discus with a throw of 44.58 meters at the Augustana College (Ill.) Early Spring Opener on Saturday. The mark is the third-best effort in the NAIA this spring.
She followed that up with an NAIA "A" standard-qualifying toss of 12.21 meters in the shot put, placing second to teammate and 2017 NAIA Indoor National Champion Kylie Davis (SO/Eureka, Ill.).
Bock completed her day with a seventh-place effort in the hammer throw with a distance of 38.52 meters.
