JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – Kylie Davis (SO/Eureka, Ill.) captured her first career National Championship on Saturday, March 4 to put a jump start in the Olivet Nazarene University women's track and field team that would help them to a 14th place finish in a strong 55 team field at the NAIA Indoor National Championships.
Davis' second throw in finals, a 14.53m (47' 8") personal best, ended up being the golden one. The Tigers also picked up All-American performances from Alexa Beezhold (JR/St. John, Ind.) in the 800m run and Anne Brown (JR/New Sharon, Iowa) in the high jump. Beezhold finished third with a time of 2:15.13, while Brown narrowly missed breaking her own school record clearing 1.68m (5' 6").
